De Telefoongids (Phone book) and Gouden Gids (Yellow Pages) have been the center of much social media attention recently. Twitterers in The Netherlands argued the big phonebooks the company sends people unsolicited is no longer of this time. Many people agree it’s a total waste of paper and the environment and demanded the company stops sending it to millions of people every year. Luckily for them, the company behind the Phone book and Yellow Pages seems to agree. This monday they announced a new company name – DTG – that preludes a new direction: Within the next few years, 80% of DTG’s business should come through digital.
